Hey thanks for taking the time to read this. Hope it’s beneficial for you. :) So, I used these to re-badge/re-emblem, an older car. Exactly as described except matte black is really a matte black and not as shiny as it is in the pics…if you were wondering? Pics almost look a bit glossy but I think they just used a really good camera for staging? A guess. But. Product: The letters themselves are rock solid and SUPER SUPER tacky/sticky. And…They look really sharp also. Not cheap or plastic either but comprised of a high quality metal alloy of some sort. They don’t bend easily and I’m actually fairly confident that they’ll stay stuck to my vehicle for probably lots and lots of years. I ordered a total of 24 letters for about $52 and received my package after about a week or so. Not terrible on shipping considering some items come from around the globe. But each letter was individually well packaged and inside of a padded envelope on top of that. Nice packaging and obv great care taken to ensure letters arrived unscathed in any way. Great seller. Easy to communicate with and will definitely do business here again should the need arise. Installation… I’m mostly a residential construction professional with loads of on the ground experience since I was very young and would consider myself a home repair and renovation expert. Meaning I’ve been working with my hands for a long time and am extremely comfortable using them. Mechanical inclination is a gift I’ve been developing for about half a century now. And what I can tell you about this process is that it is indeed a little process needing attention to detail and some patience. Lots of patience actually. However, on the other hand if you want your expensive new lettering to look like a kindergartner installed it, then just be hasty about it and there you will have it. ;). no seriously though… and word to the wise: use masking tape or similar as you would if you were painting. I used a level as well but if you have a really good eye for detail and straight lines or, are just simply a bit of a perfectionist that can’t help themselves, use the tape. ;) Make a straight line with it as the bottom of where you will be installing your fancy new letters. I used the level not to level but for straight lines. A 2 or 3 foot level will be plenty. Use it as a guide to place your tape as straight as you can and also where you want the bottom of your letters to sit. Then do the next strip of tape where the TOP of new letters will rest. You should now have a top and bottom line to work with that will circumvent imperfections. I have magnetic levels and so I just stuck two on my vehicle in place of the tape for my guide. Then for spacing and vertical accuracy, find a paint stirrer stick in your garage or for free at Home Depot or Lowe’s. Use the short end or two or three paint sticks together for wider yet accurate and straight spacing.
