In general it’s a 5 star item. Only problem was there were a few chips in the powder coat. I thought about returning it but decided that it’s an outdoor item and a little dab of light grease on the spots would probably suffice. Looks nice when installed.This mailbox post provides a charming and complimentary accent to the Salsbury Industries roadside security mailbox. I looked at other security mailboxes, but this post really provides a more traditional country look. Seems sturdy enough, and plenty of room to go higher or lower, depending on your taste. Amazon shipped beautifully, no issues, but it comes in a big long well packed box from the manufacturer, at least 6 feet.This thing is well designed, built with hefty materials and looks beautiful (for a mailbox). Highly satisfied!The quality of this product was better than what I had expected. Assembly was simple and well thought out by the manufacturer. It was packed well and no scratches on arrival. It looks very nice and costs less than much poorer quality competitors products.I was disappointed. My biggest complaint is that the silver isn't silver, its a dull industrial gray. The wrong screws were shipped with it (screws to secure the arm support rather than bolts that could be covered). Other than that, it has a good finish and is heavy duty. I am surprised that Salsbury does not have a mounting plate and a matching post box.It was what I expectedMarch 2010 The black mail box post was exactly what I wanted.
