NICE SHINNY STEEL MAILBOX, but they should include the 2 screws it requires. I had previous size older box so I used those screws, but had I not had them I wud have not been happy to go to store-EXTRA TRIP if I didnt have the screws @ home. Got compliments!!Durable. Good paint. The door hinges are sturdy.Exactly as describedSleek look! Perfect edition to our new homeGood mail box.Easy to install and great as a wall unit mail boxIt works for what I need. A little flimsy.Cheapely made. When it rains . Mail gets. WetBought this to replace a rusting mailbox that mounted flush to my house. I have a stucco finish on my house. This mailbox scraped on the stucco because I believe the back of the mailbox was put on backwards. The screws to mount it stick out more than 1/2 inch and the top of the mailbox scrapes against the house and scraped the paint off the mailbox. I had to use a dremel to grind away stucco and bend the back of the lid inwards so the lid would shut properly. Manufactured incorrectly. I believe the back of the mail box was put on incorrectly. I will never buy anything from this company again. It also does not come with any mounting hardware. Cheap junk that I will have to repaint come spring. The compact size, attractive appearance and reasonable price made me buy this mailbox. It is easy enough to install using two screws - but, there is no drilling template and no hardware. You will need two lengthy screws because there is a significant gap (~1/2") between the back of the mailbox and the edge around its back which cause an offset (i.e., the back doesn't mount flush to the wall). This causes the mailbox to hang but not fasten tightly. When lifting the lid, it can shift or even come off the mount. I have cut a piece of thin exterior plywood to mount between the house wall and the mailbox, to improve hold and prevent it moving or coming loose. As others have pointed out, the metal is very thin, and construction is flimsy. But, it looks OK. I don't expect it to last. This is a nice little mailbox for the price it's got a very nice finish on it and it is subtle but for the price has really good capacity for male storage just a heads up you'll need to build your own spacing guide and grab your own screws and all your own tools it doesn't come with any screws or anything but that's how they keep the cost low so not a biggieThe picture actually makes it look bigger than it is, but the dimensions are clearly defined so it's not like they are trying to fool anyone. I wanted a smaller box so for me it is very good. Pretty sturdy but the lid is very stiff. I'm ok with that as well because eventually I will just remedy that problem. (Note: it's the design not a flaw in the unit itself).I like this mailbox. My mail is delivered through thr slot in my door, but my dog often gets to the mail before I do. This little mailbox was a great solution. I hung it on the outside of my apartment door with command hooks. No more chewed up mail. I gave 4 stars because the black spray paint could have been carried throughout the inside of the box. It looks a bit unfinished. Truly, I am just nitpicking. Buy the mailbox.
