I waited awhile before writing this review as I wanted to see if the paint on this gorgeous mailbox would hold up to Colorado weather. It looks as stunning as the day it arrived...two years ago! I wanted a locking, functional mailbox with a stunning color design and this was it. It was perfectly packaged for a safe delivery. Came with 2 keys. The slot where mail is deposited is convenient for the letter carrier, yet not quite secure. A paperback book or thick catalog can be slipped in nicely. But so can my small hand. The box has no flag, so I clip outgoing mail to the lamp post to which the box is attached to avoid marring the box itself. From the USPS: “Letter carriers can pick up mail as they make their deliveries if the flag is up. However, carriers are not required to check mailboxes for outgoing mail that do not have flags up if they do not have deliveries for that address that day.”
